Everyone take a good look at your antivirus. We detected a spy here who was attemping to extract information from our computer from his . I dont know which one of you it is (YET) but I will find out. The Trojan horse was pretty advanced . Maybe even government not sure yet but my buddy is tracking the components used in the virus. If you are not sure about your status google Spybot and buy spy doctor antivirus for 39.95. It will clean you out . I got rid of it after a long chase. It kept morphing into other files until I launched spy doctor. I sent a copy on disc to by buddy who took it apart. In case it is a hacker( indenty thief) I am freezing all accounts on line. Michael

don't you think you jumped to an unfounded conclusion , blaming some one on this tribe. you your self have stated on PPA that you personally were attacked for certain things you said about a certain religious group. what makes you think that group isn't trying again? don't you think that maybe you are being just a little paranoid? the offer i made to contact me is rescinded.stick to PPA , your arrogant attitude will be more appreciated there.

Im going to go under again for a while. I cant afford to lose this new machine. Watch out for log in problems. This guy uses a fake version of the Tribes log in page to get the trojan horse in. then the virus(get this) is a diversion. While you are fighting the virus he slides in and sets up this little section of your hard drive. He even created a shortcut into our documents files. the file he leaves a file in your machine that is not viral and wont show up on your scans. If you have it ? it will be in your temp files. The file looks like movie but its not. perflib_perfdata_2a8 is the name of the file . You will not be able to remove this. It will have to written out by someone who knows how to program . I spent the last 12 hours fighting it to draw. I wont let it access the internet but its keeping me from coming here until My buddy can remove it. Take care everyone , be carefull and check your machines and if you need better spyware then get it updated. Good luck all, Michael

if it was the govt trying to spy on you chances are spybot or spydoctor wouldnt catch it just saying LOL :)

That said what browser are you using? Firefox I hope or Apples Safari. IE has so many holes in it its near to impossible to secure.
      Just saying.
      Wish ya luck

Can you forward any specs you get to anti virus companies?

Wish you'd drop me a line. I can't remember if we exchanged off-tribe e-mails before.

Michael, your description indicates you were surfing lite-porn and picked up a piece of persistent spyware. Most likely Antivirus2009 or 2010. Nasty, morphine, and because it is bound to your browser, not your startup group, so it is harder to spot. The last three versions were so good it will respawn seconds after cleansing it.

AV2009 is such tight code, that if those guys ever wrote an operating system I'd buy it. It would be crash proof.

naw never surf any porn sites. It was a false av trojan horse. I had to do a reformat of the drive to get rid of the File perflib_perfdata . That was the file that morphs. It opened the doors to someone who as tryting to use my machine to work for him. He even had partitioned my hard drive. and was preparing to install something but we blew him out of the water. I didnt lose anything. Its fixed now and I have even better protection. The virus is a diversion and while you are fighting it he is slipping in and setting up shop. Slick bastard. Michael

we are thinking we got it thru MP3 ROCKET . It lodged itself in the temp file. The file is called perflib_perfdata and then there will be a series of numbers following it. It does not read as a virus but you can not get rid of it unless you erase your drive and even that takes a lot of work to do by someone who knows how to over ride partition controll. Google perflib_perfdata and you will see hundreds of sites and message boards of people trying to deal with this thing. Since I fixed it there have already been three attempts at intrusion so someone has my isp address and is trying to get me again. I have his address now so Im going to call in to my new antivirus provider and have them zap the fucker. Michael

Yeah I just got over the 2008 or 2009 virus, It was in the free Avira anti virus ware, it was getting in through the automatic updates. I turned it off, then it turned into a hijack and took me to Ask.com. Then I found SUPER antispyware and it was free and it worked. So no more pain in the ass partial recovery of windows before using the internet. Plus the new ware discovered 91 tracking cookies. Yes my spyware was all out of date, I'm surprised my computer lasted this long.

I'm not that computer savvy at least I fixed for free without loosing my computer, damn geeks with nothing better to do. Karma will come to them in one form or another.
